The Technical Colleges Act
Whereas it is expedient to make provision in the matter hereinafter set out: be it enacted by the Assembly as follows.
The Act has 3 sections, summarised below as the code requires.
- Passed by the Assembly by 38 votes to 23.
- Applies to children between 7 and 16.
- Comes into force on 1 January 1898.
Amendment history
- F1 Amended by The Technical Colleges (Amendment) Act, 18 January 1914. Passed by the Assembly by 55 votes to 8.
- F2 In turn amended by The Technical Colleges (Amendment) Act, 31 May 1964 (amending The Technical Colleges (Amendment) Act). Passed by the Assembly by 41 votes to 18.
