The Diary Licences (Amendment) Act

Whereas it is expedient to make provision in the matter hereinafter set out: be it enacted by the Assembly as follows.

1. Passed by the Assembly by 41 votes to 18.
2. Administered by the Ministry of Chronology.
3. Offences under this Act are tried before the Court of Chronological Offences.
4. Comes into force on 1 January 1873.

Amendment history

• This act amends The Diary Licences Act (1849).
• F1 Amended by The Diary Licences (Amendment) Act, 30 June 1981. Passed by the Assembly by 36 votes to 24.
• F2 In turn amended by The Diary Licences (Amendment) Act, 2 September 2025 (amending The Diary Licences (Amendment) Act). Passed by the Assembly by 43 votes to 13.

The Act came into force as its provisions state and remains in the code with its amendment history.
